FunkyPartyDJ.co.uk is a trading name of Stylish Entertainment Ltd. we are based in Frome, Somerset however, we have DJ's, Musicians, Entertainers and their agents dotted all over the place, so geography is usually not an issue for us. As a company, we offer entertainment and creative production services for parties, weddings, corporate events and functions involving music.

Director Nigel Peirce has spent many years mixing both sound & light and also "producing" (telling people what to do!) as a school-boy, he designed the lighting for school plays in Bath, attended two seasons of the National Youth Theatre in London followed by a Theatre Electricians Lighting course which he passed with distinctions. At the same time he combined his love of lighting with a love of music and started as a mobile disco DJ in 1981 for Charles & Di's wedding. A local DJ took him under their wing and showed him the ropes, pretty soon he was the richest kid in school earning £100 a weekend!

Moving to London at 17, he spent the next 17 years working in West End recording studios, the first 5 years he returned home every weekend to DJ in the South West. Finally, after selling his original decks, he severed ties with the mobile disco business in Wiltshire and committed fully to London life. This involved landing a job as a DJ at the Virgin Megastore in Oxford Street on a Saturday for 3 years. Following a year traveling at working at Stellar Sound Studios in Sydney, Australia, he returned to London and worked a producer at the launch of Virgin Radio where he produced talent including Chris Evans, he was also a producer at the 24 hour news station LBC.

It was during the early 90's that Nigel became a big time clubber! Happy House was his favoured style. He also started to mix dance albums for EMI, Warner and Universal Music. He was also a producer for Pete Tong's essential selection on Radio 1 traveling to clubs including Cream, the Ministry & Moneypenny's.

In 1997 Nigel left full time employment and founded the Production Factory an award winning TV & Radio Production company with recording studios in Margaret St, W1. As MD, Producer and Sound-designer he won many advertising awards and gold discs. He also trained and mentored new talent, one of his proteges Anthony Moore is now regarded as London's top sound-designer which Nigel is rather proud of.

By 2003 Nigel his wife Ali and kids returned home to the West Country and severed ties with London. In June he was asked to DJ back-stage at Glastonbury Festival (the Kate Moss area) where he was the resident DJ. This re-ignited his enthusiasm for DJ'ing, he purchased the loan decks from Pioneer and started to offer his unique form of DJ'ing to the discerning party host. Nine years later, he has a number of great DJ's that he has mentored, Ali is now involved with the business and looks after the titivating and decoration! the parties that we now attend are much more lavish that in the early days! Bring it on!
