The cool of Nikki Beach comes to Somerset! We recently got stuck in at an interesting birthday party. The combined 18th & 50th at Haselbury Mill was a White Themed Party which was a lovely thing to see. Everyone looked really clean and fresh - some looked like they should have been in hospital with the White coats. In addition to suplying Nigel Peirce as DJ and production manager, the host of the party opted for additional lighting and sound systems, we also supplied some delightful White event furniture which included an LED coffee table which light up the night sky in the hugely atmospheric medieval Tythe barn at Haselbury.

Due to the noise restrictions, the PA was switched off at 12.30m and we headed to silent disco. A silent disco involves headphones being handed out to everyone, these are switched on and take the output from the DJ decks. For us, it was the first time that we have worked in silent disco conditions. What Nigel noticed that as soon as the headphones were put on the requests stopped. Everyone lost themselves in the music. He changed his set to include some sing-along tunes so that he could gauge the reaction of the dance-floor. He also noticed that people were less inhibited and seemed to "have it" even more than usual, his mixing skills had to be spot on as everyone listened intently to the mix! Video soon to follow.
